Running the platform on your own domain (tracking and application domains)

Modified on Mon, 17 Aug at 11:06 PM

You can replace both the tracking-link domain (what publishers' links look like) and the application domain (where users log in) with your own. Both are configured in Whitelabel Settings → Domain setup and need one CNAME record each in your DNS.

1. Tracking domain (e.g. trk.yourbrand.com)

  1. In your DNS add a CNAME: name trk → value trk.oneklix.co (also shown on the Tracking Link Domain tab).
  2. Whitelabel Settings → Domain setup → Tracking Link Domain → enter trk.yourbrand.comSave.
  3. From now on all newly generated tracking links use your domain. Existing links keep working on the old domain.

2. Application domain (e.g. partners.yourbrand.com)

  1. Whitelabel Settings → Domain setup → Application Domain tab → enter the domain → Save.
  2. Add the CNAME shown on that tab in your DNS.
  3. Your users log in at the new address; the default *.indoleads.com sub-domain keeps working.

Timing: DNS propagation — usually a few hours, up to 24 h. SSL certificates are issued by us automatically once DNS resolves — for that the CNAME must point at us directly: if your DNS is on Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud), not proxied.

Tips: use sub-domains, not the bare domain (your main site stays on your hosting); keep the CNAME un-proxied (Cloudflare grey cloud) — proxied records break certificate issuance and tracking; if a link domain gets flagged by social networks, add a second tracking domain and rotate.
